Erudite Consulting is a small consulting firm specializing in access and inclusion. Our founder, Evan O’Hanlon has been in the industry since 2011. His passion for access comes from the fact that Evan has Cerebral Palsy and has competed on the international stage as an athlete with a disability for over 18 years. In that time he has won five Paralympic Gold Medals, a further fourteen international medals and two Commonwealth Games Gold Medals on top of setting multiple world records.

Our point of difference is the knowledge we bring to design from our founders lived experience. Evan has experienced the built environment as a disabled person his entire life and has spent much of that time training, travelling and competing alongside other athletes and persons with a disability. Not only do we understand the statutory obligations and standards, but we bring with us an understanding of how people with disabilities use spaces that is arguably second to none.

The word “Erudite” means having or showing great knowledge or learning and we endeavour to prove this through our work. We strive to provide practical, performance-based advice based on project specifics that will maximize access for persons with a disability to the built environment and provide the best outcome for the client.
